GOLDFRAPP - Some People
Free Tempo의 "Sounds", Mr.Untel의 "Made in Paris"와 더불어 올해 발매 된 앨범 중에 가장 마음에 드는 GOLDFRAPP의 통산 4번째 정규 앨범, "Seventh Tree".
세련된 감각의 일렉트로닉을 추구해온 전작까지의 앨범과 비교해 봤을때, 이번 앨범은 뭐랄까, 더욱 서정적이고 차분해졌다고나 할까. 이제 불혹을 훌쩍 넘긴 나이의 앨리슨이 들려주는 보컬은 보다 더 관능적이면서 호소력을 갖고 있다. 이전까지의 곡들이 화려한 꾸밈을 가진 20대 초중반 여자의 느낌을 주었다면, 이번 앨범의 노래들은 더 이상의 치장도 거짓도 필요치 않는, 완숙한 아름다움을 가진 30대 여성의 감성을 지니고 있다고 할 수 있을 것이다.
이번 앨범의 모든 곡들을 다 사랑하지 않을 수 없겠지만, 추적추적 비내리는 밤의 분위기를 한껏 살려주는 노래로 한곡 들어본다. 개인적으로 eat yourself와 더불어 가장 좋아하는 곡이다.

Goldfrapp - Caravan Girl 이 앨범은 요즘처럼 스산한 가을보다는 아지랑이 피어오르는 봄에 소개를 해야 제격이지만, 가을이라고 해서 봄날의 기운을 느끼지 말라는 법은 없으니까요. 잠시나마 따뜻한 기운을 느끼길 원합니다. Goldfrapp의 정규 4집인 Seventh Tree는 어찌 되었든 올해 초 봄을 앞두고 나오긴 했어요. 처음 듣고는 깜짝 놀라서 한동안 충격적이었던 기분이 들었답니다. 이전 앨범까지의 골드프랩의 분위기는 온데 간데..
